Therefore, the purpose of this article is to create a sort of “ultimate guide” to help you choose a camera. You are an adult and you can make the final choice of your device based on the factors that are most important to you.
So I’ll start by showing you the 4 best camera series, the top 3 criteria for choosing one, a step-by-step approach to deciding between final models, and finally a review of the best cameras on the market (because Yes, I know, some readers want to see concrete models.
Entry-Level Compact Camera
A compact camera is a camera with a small sensor whose lenses are not interchangeable So I start with the most basic of devices small consumer compacts. Not much until 2023, as they have largely been replaced by smartphones and their target audience is very broad. These aren’t usually the models we turn to when we want “better than our smartphones.
Expert Contract
More professional compact cameras have appeared in recent years, not sure if it’s easy to navigate: some sensors are smaller, others are already larger and more with variable prices.
Advanced Features
Some high-end models with large enough sensors make fairly solid cameras (for example, the Panasonic Lumix LX100, Sony RX100, and Ricoh GR series), but if you’re new to photography, I’d always recommend an interchangeable-lens camera. At this price, there are more possibilities in the future.
Bridge Camera
Even though it’s a “small face SLR”, the bridge is usually closer to a compact – non-interchangeable lenses etc. Keep in mind that the entry-level bridge is very similar to the entry-level compact, but bigger. In short, uninteresting and in danger of extinction. “Expert bridges” such as expert contracts have emerged in recent years and are quite convincing. However, most retain a small sensor, which is bound to be limited (more on that below).
Presumably a compromise between compact and DSLR, I feel like the bridge is just a way for users to easily switch from compact to DSLR/hybrid while spending a little more money. For the price of an entry level hybrid, reflector and bridge, I find the bridge to be an investment that won’t last, and in my opinion not as good as a good compact (at least lets you store it anywhere you )people.
Reflex Camera
A DSLR consists of two parts: First, the body, the one you hold in your hand, has the shutter button, screen, and adjustment buttons. Ergonomics and adjustability are important, but most current sensors are excellent. The lens you mount will undoubtedly have a greater impact on the final render of your image.
Since these two parts of the device are independent, the lenses can be swapped out depending on the situation. In fact, even without any background in photography, it’s conceivable that a different lens would be needed to capture a small insect perched on a flower, a portrait, or even a slightly shy bird wandering in the distance.
Lenses can be very expensive at times, but they are a long-term investment that will get you what you want. I’ll end with the hybrids, as they’re harder to crack, especially since they have a shorter build time than other types. Basically, the manufacturer’s idea is to combine the advantages of an SLR (large sensor, good image quality, interchangeable lenses) with the advantages of a compact SLR (small size and low weight).

So the most important criterion is that your device allows you to access the creative modes, i.e. They are very important in mastering your images. Most devices offer them, but you have to be careful with budget compacts.
